About the Standing Committee
The Standing Committee supports the coordination and continuity of the work of the House. It considers priority parliamentary matters, coordinates the work of committees and helps ensure the orderly implementation of the House’s business in accordance with the Rules of Procedure.
Mandate and Responsibilities
The Committee coordinates priority business of the House, reviews matters requiring attention between sittings, supports coordination among parliamentary committees, and carries out other responsibilities assigned to it under the Rules of Procedure and decisions of the House.
