About the Committee on Finance, Trade and Planning

This Committee deals with matters relating to public finance, trade, economic planning and the management of public resources. It supports the House in reviewing legislation, policies, budgets and public programmes within its areas of responsibility.

Mandate and Responsibilities

The Committee reviews bills, policies, budgets and public matters relating to finance, revenue, expenditure, trade and economic planning. It conducts parliamentary oversight within its mandate, examines the use and management of public resources, considers matters referred to it by the House, and submits reports and recommendations in accordance with the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure.
