About the Committee on Women, Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs

This Committee deals with matters relating to women, human rights and humanitarian affairs. It supports the House in reviewing legislation, policies and public programmes that promote the protection of rights, social inclusion and the welfare of vulnerable communities.

Mandate and Responsibilities

The Committee reviews bills, policies and public matters concerning women, human rights, humanitarian assistance and the protection of vulnerable groups. It conducts parliamentary oversight within its areas of responsibility, considers matters referred to it by the House, and submits reports and recommendations in accordance with the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure.
