About the Committee on Resource Development

This Committee deals with matters relating to the development, management and sustainable use of the natural and economic resources of Southwest State. It supports the House in reviewing legislation, policies and public programmes within its areas of responsibility.

Mandate and Responsibilities

The Committee reviews bills, policies and public matters relating to natural resources, agriculture, livestock, water, energy and other resource-development sectors. It conducts parliamentary oversight within its mandate, considers matters referred to it by the House, and submits reports and recommendations in accordance with the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure.
