Baidoa, 21 September 2026: The Finance, Trade and Planning Committee of the House of Representatives of the South West State of Somalia conducted a working visit to the Ministry of Planning of the South West State of Somalia.
The visit was led by the Deputy Chairperson of the Committee, Hon. Ibrahim Omar Ali, and the Committee Secretary, Hon. Rahma Abukar Salah, and was attended by other members of the Committee.
During the meeting, the Committee received a briefing from Ministry officials on the Ministry’s ongoing work, current plans, development programmes, existing challenges, and key priorities.
Committee members also sought further clarification on matters relating to planning, programme implementation, and the monitoring of the Ministry’s activities.
The visit formed part of the Committee’s oversight, information-gathering and accountability responsibilities, while also strengthening cooperation between the House of Representatives and the executive institutions of the South West State of Somalia.
