Baidoa, 22 June 2026: The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Southwest State of Somalia, Dr. Mahad Mohamed Sh. Hassan, welcomed the President of the Southwest State, Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madoobe, to Baidoa.
The two leaders subsequently held a meeting to discuss the general situation across the Southwest State and ways to strengthen cooperation between the House of Representatives and the Presidency.
They agreed to accelerate the Government’s priority programmes and enhance joint efforts in security, economic development, political affairs, and social services.
Representatives of state institutions, the security services, and the armed forces attended the welcoming ceremony.
