Baidoa, 27 September 2026: The Judiciary and Justice Committee of the House of Representatives of the South West State of Somalia, in fulfilment of its constitutional oversight responsibilities, conducted a working visit to the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.
The Committee, led by its Chairperson, Hon. Fa’iso Ahmed Abdullahi, was received by the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, H.E. Adan Macallin Abdirahman, and the Director General of the Ministry, Mr. Mubarak Abdisalam.
During the visit, the Minister briefed the Committee on the overall situation of the Ministry, the key challenges it faces, its annual plans, and the progress made in improving services provided to the people of the South West State of Somalia.
The meeting also focused on strengthening cooperation between the House of Representatives and the Ministry, as well as improving the quality of services delivered to communities across the South West State.
The Judiciary and Justice Committee further emphasised the importance of strengthening oversight of mosques and religious education centres, while enhancing efforts to prevent the spread of extremist ideologies and other activities that may threaten public safety and social cohesion.
