Baidoa, 20 June 2026: The Speaker of the House of Representatives and Acting President of the Southwest State of Somalia, Dr. Mahad Mohamed Sh. Hassan, received media executives and directors from Baidoa at his office.
The meeting focused on developments in the Southwest State and strengthening cooperation between the Parliamentary Leadership and the media.
Dr. Mahad commended the media for its valuable work across the Southwest State and encouraged media organisations to work closely with the House of Representatives, particularly in covering its priority legislative activities.
The media executives and directors expressed their readiness to cooperate with the Parliamentary Leadership and affirmed their commitment to providing comprehensive coverage of parliamentary sittings and the work of the House committees.
