About the Committee on Social Affairs and Public Awareness

This Committee deals with social affairs, public awareness and matters affecting communities across Southwest State. It supports the House in reviewing legislation, policies and public programmes related to social development and public welfare.

Mandate and Responsibilities

The Committee reviews bills, policies and public matters concerning social affairs, community welfare and public awareness. It conducts parliamentary oversight within its areas of responsibility, considers matters referred to it by the House, and submits reports and recommendations in accordance with the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure.
